چکیده

In an ad hoc network, identification of all node-disjoint paths between a given pair of nodes is a challenging task. The phenomena that a protocol is not able to identify all node-disjoint paths that exist between a given pair of nodes is called path diminution. In this paper, we discuss that path diminution is unavoidable when a protocol discovers multiple node-disjoint paths in a single route discovery. We discuss schemes tomitigate path diminution. However, no such scheme is guaranteed to discover all node-disjoint paths that exist between a given pair of nodes. We have proved that one cannot devise an efficient algorithm that is guaranteed to compute all node-disjoint paths between a given pair of nodes in a single route discovery.

Multipath Node-Disjoint Routing with Backup List Based on the AODV Protocol

In recent years, routing has been the most focused area in ad hoc networks research. On-demand routing in particular, is widely developed in bandwidth constrained mobile wireless ad hoc networks because of its effectiveness and efficiency. Most proposed on-demand routing protocols are built and relied on single route for each data session. Whenever there is a link disconnection on the active ro...

Mitigating path diminution in disjoint multipath routing for mobile ad hoc networks

A major issue while computing disjoint multiple paths in an ad hoc environment is of path diminution. In this paper, we have proposed a node disjoint multipath routing (NDMR) and we have discussed schemes to mitigate path diminution. We have compared the performance of NDMR with existing node disjoint multipath routing protocols. We observed that success rate and packet delivery ratio of NDMR a...

Performance Comparison of Two On-demand Multi Path Routing Protocols for Ad Hoc Networks

In recent years, on-demand routing protocols have attained more attention in mobile ad hoc networks as compared to other routing schemes due to their abilities and efficiency. There exist many ondemand routing protocols for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETS). Most of the protocols, however, use a single route and do not utilize multiple alternate paths. Multi path routing allows the establishment ...

An Efficient Routing Approach and Improvement Of AODV Protocol In Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) consist of a collection of wireless mobile nodes which dynamically exchange data among themselves without the need of fixed infrastructure or a wired backbone network. Due to limited transmission range node to exchange information with any other node in the network. Thus routing is a crucial issue in the design of MANET. On-demand routing protocols for mobile ad ...

The Feedback Based Mechanism for Video Streaming Over Multipath Ad Hoc Networks

Ad hoc networks are multi-hop wireless networks without a pre-installed infrastructure. Such networks are widely used in military applications and in emergency situations as they permit the establishment of a communication network at very short notice with a very low cost. Video is very sensitive for packet loss and wireless ad-hoc networks are error prone due to node mobility and weak links. H...
